Are You Ready for Winter?

As the seasons change, it’s important to make sure your home and propane system are ready for winter. Whether you’re a long-time customer or new to propane, these tips will help keep your deliveries smooth, your home safe, and your tank functioning efficiently.

Roads and Driveways

  • Keep Driveways Accessible: Delivery trucks need a clear path to reach your tank. Please ensure your driveway is plowed and free of obstacles.
  • High Wind Areas: If you live in a region prone to high winds, request a mailed delivery ticket to confirm your delivery.
  • Storm Safety: Did you know? Pennsylvania law requires propane trucks to be sidelined first during a storm. The safety of our drivers is crucial!
  • Watch for Blockages: Parked equipment or vehicles can block access to your tank. Make sure the area is clear before your scheduled delivery.

Your Home

  • Enroll in Automatic Delivery: Never worry about running out—our automatic delivery program ensures you’re always covered.
  • Expecting Higher Usage? Let us know! Whether you’re hosting guests or using more heat, we’ll adjust your delivery schedule.
  • System Inspection: Have a professional inspect your propane system before winter hits to ensure everything is working safely and efficiently.
  • Safety ReminderNever use your kitchen stove as a heat source. It’s unsafe and could lead to carbon monoxide buildup.

Your Tank

  • Snow & Ice Maintenance: Regularly wipe snow and ice off your tank to prevent damage and ensure visibility.
  • Clear Path to Tank: Make sure there’s a safe, accessible path for our delivery team.
  • Monitor Your Levels: Check your tank level or monitor regularly. If you have a wireless monitor, you can view updates on your customer portal.
