In Loving Memory

We are saddened by the passing of Warren Jr. “Bussie” Shaffer, who left us on September 5, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on November 7, 1934, Bussie was a beloved member of the Hooversville community and a cornerstone of our family’s legacy.

As the grandson of Daniel Shaffer—founder of Daniel Shaffer’s Hardware Store in 1901—Bussie carried forward a tradition of service, integrity, and dedication. He played a vital role in the early days of Shaffer’s Bottled Gas, which was originally part of the hardware store. His hard work and commitment helped shape the company into what it is today.

Shaffer’s Bottled Gas would not be where it is without original members like Bussie and his wife Donna. We are deeply grateful for his many years of service and the lasting impact he made on our business and our community.

Bussie’s legacy lives on in every delivery, every handshake, and each cruising antique automobile. We will miss him dearly but are joyful knowing he is reunited with his beloved Donna.

Thank you, Bussie, for everything.
